2004 Injured Worker Rally at the Capitol

On April 28, 2004 the Pennsylvania Federation of Injured Workers in junction with other injured worker advocate organizations and advocates sponsored an injured worker rally at the Capitol Rotunda Gallery in Harrisburg for an Injured Worker Memorial Day event. This was a day to remember workers who were killed or injured on the job. We need to attract attention to the way Pennsylvania is allowing injured workers to be exploited by employers and the insurance industry. Injured workers are struggling to recover from an injury or worker place disease and need help. This was the third such rally asking legislators for help for injured workers and for fair reform to the workers compensation act to restore an injured workers right to fair no fault injury protection. So far the legislators have not heard the pleading for help and injured workers still suffer.
